One popular option for many is Koh Mak, known for its natural beauty. Traveling from Koh Chang to Koh Mak has become much easier. The steps for booking tickets and traveling are as follows:

Step 1: Book a ferry ticket from Koh Chang to Koh Mak

You need to book your ferry ticket from Koh Chang to Koh Mak at least 1 day in advance so that the ferry company can arrange transportation to pick you up at your resort the next day and guarantee you a seat for your journey. Step 2: Pickup at the resort on Koh Chang

On the day of travel, the ferry will arrange transportation to pick you up 1 hour in advance at the resorts you specified when booking your ferry ticket. Pickup starts at the White Sand Beach area and goes to the last point at the Bailan and Bang Bao areas. The ferry services are as follows:

• Boon Siri: Service at 09:00 AM, pickup time is from 07:15 AM to 08:10 AM.
• Koh Chang Bang Bao Boat (wooden boat): Service at 09:00 AM, pickup time is from 08:00 AM to 08:40 AM.
• Koh Chang Bang Bao Boat (speedboat): There are 2 services:
  • 10:00 AM service, pickup time from 09:00 AM to 09:40 AM.
  • 13:00 PM service, pickup time from 12:00 PM to 12:40 PM.

Times may vary depending on weather conditions and traffic on that day. Free shuttle service on Koh Chang is only available between KC Grande Resort (White Sand Beach) and Bang Bao.

Step 3: Check-in at Bang Bao Pier, Koh Chang, and board the ferry to Koh Mak

Check in with the confirmation received from booking your ferry ticket, then the ferry will take you to Koh Mak. However, travel times may vary depending on the weather each day. Each ferry company has different check-in points and travel times:

• Boon Siri: Check-in at the Boon Siri office at Bang Bao Pier, travel time is approximately 1 hour to Ao Nid Pier, Koh Mak.
• Koh Chang Bang Bao Boat (wooden boat): Check-in at Bang Bao Pier, travel time is about 2 hours to Koh Mak, arriving at Koh Mak Resort Pier due to stops at Koh Klum and Koh Wai.
• Koh Chang Bang Bao Boat (speedboat): Check-in at Bang Bao Pier, travel time is only 30 minutes to Koh Mak, arriving at Koh Mak Resort Pier.

Step 4: From Koh Mak Pier to the resort

Upon arriving at Ao Nid Pier on Koh Mak, there is no shuttle service. You can get to your accommodation as follows:

• Contact your resort to pick you up at Ao Nid Pier. Most resorts on Koh Mak offer free pickup services.
• Take a songthaew on Koh Mak, which costs about 50 baht per person.
• If you are on a speedboat, some resorts with piers that allow boats to dock will take you directly to the resort.

Charter a private boat.

If you want privacy, you can charter a private boat to travel from Koh Chang to Koh Mak. The available services are as follows:

• Boon Siri: Takes about 1 hour.
• Koh Chang Bang Bao Boat (speedboat): Takes 30 minutes.

Shuttle services are available for free on Koh Chang, and if your accommodation on Koh Mak has a pier for speedboats to dock, the ferry will take you to the resort’s pier, but there will be no shuttle service on Koh Mak.
