Traveling from Trat Airport to Koh Mak (Updated 2024)

Traveling to Koh Mak in 2024 will be much easier with our ferry ticket service, which includes a transfer from Trat Airport to the pier. This service will be available starting from October 1, 2024.

Step 1: Book your ticket from Trat Airport (TDX) to Koh Mak.

You need to book your ticket from Trat Airport (TDX) to Koh Mak in advance because the boat company needs to arrange a vehicle to pick you up. The boat’s vehicle is not stationed at the airport, so once the booking is made, the boat company will send a vehicle to pick you up at the airport.

One more thing to note is that you should book the morning flight, specifically Flight No. PG305, as it aligns best with the boat schedule.

Step 2: Get picked up at Trat Airport by minibus or van.

A vehicle will be waiting for you at the airport exit. Since Trat Airport is not large and has only one exit, it will be easy for you to find the staff who will pick you up. Please remember that this service is shared with other passengers, not private. After that, the vehicle will take you to Laem Sok Pier, which will take about 1 hour.

Step 3: Transfer to the boat for Koh Mak.

The vehicle will take you to the boat office, where the staff will then guide you onto the boat for your journey to Koh Mak. The boat will depart from the pier at 3:00 PM. It will be a large catamaran with both air-conditioned cabins and an outdoor area. The trip will take about 45 minutes, and you will arrive at Koh Mak around 3:45 PM.

Step 4: Arrive at Koh Mak.

The boat will dock at Ao Nid Pier on Koh Mak. From there, you will need to take a songthaew (a shared pickup truck taxi) to your resort. If your resort does not provide a transfer service, you will need to pay an additional fee for the songthaew. However, if your resort does offer a transfer service, you should inform them to pick you up at Ao Nid Pier at 3:45 PM.

Private Trip from Trat Airport to Koh Mak

You can rent a van from Trat Airport to various piers, whether you’ve booked a ferry ticket to Koh Mak from Laem Ngop Pier or Laem Sok Pier. The van fare is approximately 1,700 baht and can accommodate up to 5 people. If you wish to rent a private speedboat to Koh Mak, you can also contact us for that service.
